April 1st
Sorry it has taken me so long to update Potter’s blog. I have been discouraged lately. Every time I go to post something new I have been getting an error and/or losing all the stuff I had typed. So tonight I am going to try something a little different to see if it works better for me.
Let’s see… what has happened since the last post…
We took Potter to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to meet Harley, their new bird. Potter wasn’t too interested in the bird. Now Andrew is a different story, but I will save that for our family blog. Potter wanted to play with Brutus but Brutus wasn’t in the mood to play with him. That is always interesting to watch.
We have had two puppy classes. I really don’t think he is doing badly. He is a smart dog. He does tend to want to play with the other puppies, especially Mia. He really likes her. It tends to make it hard on me to work with him there because he wants to play with the others or is more interested in what kind of treat he can get from anyone that will give him one. He does like treats that is for sure. We did notice that he gets nervous with different things. We had a few things for the puppies to walk on to get them used to walking on different surfaces and it took him a while to do the all of them. He also was afraid of other stuff like the cart thing that they have clean-up supplies in. So we do have to work on introducing him to different things and sounds. I would like to sign him up for the next stage of classes, but I am afraid with Brandon and Andrew both in ball and Brad working 7:00 pm-7am it will make it hard for me to get him there because the next classes are on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. I will have to try to sit down with Brad’s work schedule and the ball schedules (once they come out) and see if I could swing it. I also need to sit down with Brad and talk it over with him.
Potter has a doctor’s appointment on Monday. He is going to get his Rabies vaccination and his heartworm medicine. Oh I am going to get a microchip put in too. Now that Brad is working again I want to get it done. I am curious to see how much he weighs now.
Until next time….
