Here is a quick update on Potter.
Yesterday Andrew, Zack and I took Potter to the doctor. He started chewing on his back paw and I wasn't sure why. He has been doing it for a few days now. He was walking fine so I had no clue what was going on. When I took a real close look at it he had made it a bit raw so I decided to take him in. The doctor gave him a shot and some medicine and he should be back to normal in about 2 weeks. The doctor thinks Potter may have been stung by a bee. I have noticed that he isn't chewing on it as much anymore. If I see him do it I try to get him focused on something else. We will see what happens.
I also made him an appointment to get his hair cut. I have trimmed him myself, but just the face and the private areas. I don't have the right tools to do his entire body. I have been thinking of taking him for a while but I have developed some fears of leaving him. I have been in a pet store that offers the grooming and I have seen a dog left on the table by himself. After seeing that it made me not want to take Potter anywhere. I was talking with my friend Jen about it and she urged me to call the vet and talk to the people there. I am so glad that I did. I told the lady about my fears and she talked to me about their ways of doing things and I feel real good about it. I should have done it 3 months ago to get him used to it. I hope he does ok. I will post an update after his appointment on Tuesday.
